Well, since launching this website back in early March the world has changed a lot!! I really hope you and your families are all keeping well and safe in this challenging and bizarre year.
As you can imagine most of my live bookings from mid-March were postponed or cancelled pretty much straight away. I have done my best to accommodate all the revised dates for my private bookings and most of these moved to 2021, so if you have a new wedding violinist booking to make for 2021 please do get in touch with me ASAP to secure your date before it is gone!
With theatres, concert halls and recording studios shut I found myself with lots of time on my hands! I set up a home studio and have been lucky to secure a few recording gigs using this in order to record remotely. This was definitely a steep learning curve for me, getting to grips with all the tech side of things, so hats off to all you audio/recording engineers who make it look so easy!! I will post news of these recordings once they are released.
My first recording session back in ‘normality’ was at Abbey Road studios recording music for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical ‘Cinderella’. It was fantastic to be back playing with colleagues again and the music was absolutely beautiful!
Since lockdown has eased a little I have been very happy to be back performing live again for some small parties in private gardens as well as for the lunchtime diners at the Ivy Chelsea Garden. I also performed the accompanying music for an intimate and beautiful ashes scattering ceremony. I’m very much looking forward to being back at Tewin Bury Farm playing for a small wedding reception next weekend.
